Chemistry is a natural science which scrutinizes substance. It was created out of alchemy, an ancient science which studied, among other objectives, to find the elixir of life and make gold from iron. Modern chemistry mainly works with molecules, compounds, reactions which occur between matters, and exchanges of energy that happen during those reactions. What is more, chemistry as a science is concerned with proposing a description for the aforesaid processes in the form of a law. Chemistry, biology and physics are the studies which have got lots of joint objectives.
That science is divided into inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, physical chemistry and some other more specific spheres.
Organic chemistry is called organic because it was believed that organic compounds had something to do with life. But modern chemistry has proved that not all the elements of organic chemistry are related to the life and living objects. On the contrary, some inorganic components are necessary for some life processes, for example, cooper and iron.
Organic chemistry performs the analysis of substances that are made of carbon and hydrogen. Thanks to it year by year the humanity get known more and more about it and this knowledge is very useful. A huge amount of different products that we use in daily life has been invented with help of organic elements.
The sphere of chemistry which studies the combinations of both organic and inorganic elements is called analytical chemistry. It looks at geometric properties of atoms, composition and other characteristics. It also performs the studies to define the combination and features of given elements. Analytical and physical chemistry are quite similar, due to they study the similar processes but take some various information from them. As is focused on experiment and hard facts, its results are useful for biomedical or environmental tracking.
